Awards
Each year, a variety of awards are presented for overall achievement, as well as achievement in specific areas of research, methodology, and presentation.
2024 Yukon/Stikine Regional Heritage Fair
41 students participated in our first in-person fair since 2019, held on May 2 at the Yukon Transportation Museum and Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre. We were pleased to welcome students from the following: Del Van Gorder School (DVGS), Elijah Smith Elementary School (ESES), Hidden Valley Elementary School (HVES), Jack Hulland Elementary School (JHES), St. Elias Community School (SECS), and Yukon Home Education Society. Congratulations to all the students on a job well done!

36 students from three schools across the Yukon participated in the 2023 Fair, a virtual event held May 4, 2023. They shared their projects with judges over Zoom, after which the projects were shared online. The following classes participated: Ms. MacFadyen’s Grade 3/4/5 Group, Del Van Gorder School (DVG), Mr. Hunter’s Grade 6 Class, Robert Service School (RSS), and Ms. Noseworthy’s Grade 4/5/6 Class, J.V. Clark School (JVC).

The 2019 Yukon/Stikine Regional Heritage Fair was held May 2, 2019 at Yukon College and involved over 30 students from 5 schools: Del Van Gorder School (DVGS), Elijah Smith Elementary School (ESES), Golden Horn Elementary School (GHES), Jack Hulland Elementary School (SECS), and St. Elias Community School (SECS). No Fair was held in 2020 or 2021.
